Chceme, aby ste vedeli, ako si vybrať správne a vyhnúť sa drahým chybám. Čo je OCPP 1.6-J?
OCPP, alebo Open Charge Point Protocol, je ako spoločný jazyk, ktorým si rozprávajú nabíjacie stanice a systémy, ktoré ich riadia a cez ktoré k nim pristupujú majitelia staníc a vodiči elektrických vozidiel. Prečo nie je dosť povedať len "OCPP 1.6"?

S OCPP je to ešte komplikovanejšie, je to ako povedať, že chcete teplú vodu s niečím navyše. Ak ste akurát v kvalitnej kaviarni, je šanca, že aj vďaka takejto špecifikácii dostanete stále skvelú kávu, ktorú ste chceli, no na otvorenom trhu, bude to, čo dostanete, veľmi rôzne. Keď hovoríme len "OCPP 1.6", otvárame dvere mnohým možnostiam a nastaveniam, kde vám môže veľa chýbať, alebo dostanete niečo, čo vôbec nepotrebujete.
Čo je možné špecifikovať?
Je toho naozaj veľa. OCPP protokol disponuje viacerými nepovinnými typmi správ, ktoré môže nabíjacia stanica posielať na backend a teda až do aplikácie užívateľa. Každá správa disponuje viacerými nepovinnými parametrami, čo sa vlastne v tej správe posiela, a potom tam sú ešte nastavovacie kľúče, ktoré definujú ďalšie dôležité aspekty a vlastnosti nabíjacej stanice a jej možnosti komunikácie. Väčšina z týchto vecí je nepovinná alebo voliteľná. Máme skúsenosti s naozaj úplne rôznymi úrovňami zapracovania tohto protokolu, či na strane nabíjacej stanice, alebo na strane backendu a príslušných mobilných aplikácií a správcovského webu. Takže, ak niekde vidíte podporu OCPP alebo lepšie OCPP 1.6-J, naozaj stále netušíte, čo to pre vás znamená.
Ako sa teda správne rozhodnúť?
Prvý krok je určiť, čo od nabíjania očakávate. Je potrebné spísať list želaní pre vaše nabíjanie z pohľadu rôznych profesistov na strane majiteľa nabíjacej stanice, ale aj z pohľadu vodičov. Takéto "use case" scénáre sú vašou mapou k správnej špecifikácii OCPP a funkcionalít nabíjacej stanice a backendu. Pred samotným výberom môžete skúsiť tieto scenáre a požiadavky preložiť na presnú špecifikáciu správ, parametrov a kľúčov, kde presne definujete čo a v akých podmienkach je pre vaše potreby povinné. Tento krok môžete aj vynechať a nechať na zhodnotenie dodávateľov, či ich implementácia protokolu a funkcionalít disponuje možnosťami, ako tieto scenáre dosiahnuť. Treba k scenárom pristupovať zodpovedne a neočakávať, že niečo je štandard a v rámci požiadavky OCPP to dostanete ako základ. OCPP disponuje aj možnosťami vlastných správ a teda je naozaj možné dosiahnúť skoro akýkoľvek scenár aj nad rámec klasickej špecifikácie OCPP.
Prečo je dôležité testovať pred nákupom?
V dnešnej dobe, ak máte takýto list scenárov, je dôležité nie len dôverovať, ale aj preverovať. Otestovať list scenárov alebo priamo definované požiadavky pre OCPP s reportom pre akúkoľvek nabíjaciu stanicu vám vie poskytnúť väčšina prevádzkovateľov backendov, či už na Slovensku alebo v zahraničí.

When searching for a charging station for your electric vehicles, you may have come across the mysterious term OCPP 1.6-J. It might sound like a code from a spaceship, but it's actually the key to intelligent and efficient charging according to your needs. Let's unravel it together - simply and humanly!
What is OCPP 1.6-J?
OCPP, or Open Charge Point Protocol, is like a common language spoken between charging stations and the systems that control them, accessed by station owners and electric vehicle drivers. The OCPP 1.6-J version is used in the vast majority of charging stations on the market, enabling features that allow you to have greater control over charging, comfortably, with the ability to save energy and money.
Why isn't just saying "OCPP 1.6" enough?
Imagine ordering coffee. Just saying "I want coffee" is too vague - do you want espresso, latte, black? With OCPP, it's even more complicated; it's like saying you want hot water with something extra. If you're in a quality café, there's a chance that even with such a specification, you'll still get a great cup of coffee you wanted. However, in an open market, what you get can vary greatly. When we say "OCPP 1.6," we're opening the doors to many possibilities and settings, where you might miss out on a lot, or get something you don't need at all.
What can be specified?
There's a lot to it. The OCPP protocol offers several optional message types that a charging station can send to the backend and, therefore, to the user's application. Each message has several optional parameters, defining what is actually sent in that message. Then there are setting keys that define additional important aspects and features of the charging station and its communication capabilities. Most of these things are optional or selectable. We have experience with a wide range of implementations of this protocol, both on the side of the charging station and on the side of the backend and related mobile applications and management websites. So, if you see support for OCPP or better yet, OCPP 1.6-J, you still don't really know what that means for you.
How to make the right decision?
The first step is to determine what you expect from charging. It's necessary to write a wishlist for your charging from the perspective of various professionals on the side of the charging station owner, as well as from the perspective of drivers.
